Text Alert
Suncroft Community Development Group is currently working on setting up a TEXT ALERT SERVICE in the village of Suncroft and surrounding area, due to be rolled out on September 1st 2014. The service is at the moment in operation in other areas and nearby parishes and has proven to be of great benefit. This service will be set up in association with An Garda Siochana and Muintir na Tire. The text alert will always be initiated from Kildare Garda Station, thus avoiding unnecessary information or requests being distributed, and ultimately saving costs. In addition, clear road signs will be displayed on the village approach lanes which statistically have reduced criminal activity in similar communities.
Should you wish, a member of SCDG will gladly explain the benefits of this service to you in more detail.
We are requesting a small donation of €10.00 to cover the initial set-up costs and the first 12 months of text service. As the Garda decide what information is important to distribute (thus avoiding texting services just sending everything to secure their fees) we think the costs thereafter will be provided through corporate sponsorship.
If you are interested in this service, kindly complete the form below and return to Owen Murphy at the Parochial House, Ronnie Howe (087 223 3024) or John Wynne (087 205 0469).
The data collected on this form will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003.
